THE EDITOR: Sir.—I see in this morning's issue of the "Gleaner" Mr. E. J. H. King writing on Football in Montego Bay says, among other things, that a guarantee of £200 had been suggested for a single match in Montego Bay vs. Trinidad.

The Council of the Football Association is interested to know who made this charge and whence Mr. King got his information.

I heard a story the other day that a speculator sold part of the Kingston Race Course to an unwitting citizen. Perhaps history is repeating itself.

I am, etc.,
