WHILST we would undoubtedly be pleased to see a visit from a Trinidad football team, who are a fine bunch of players and sportsmen. Nevertheless I am rather doubtful if it would not have been in the best interests of the J.F.A. to have got out for the first football tour in many years a team that might have been more attractive from the spectator point of view.

We have already had the Trinidad team out here; a good deal of the inter-colony interest is bound to be overshadowed by the Trinidad cricket tour in the same year; the Football Association sadly needs to make some money out of this tour, and I am pretty well certain that some other team which our people have not yet seen, say a team from the U.S.A., Curacao or Cuba would prove a greater gate attraction than Trinidad.

This, of course, is not in any way meant as criticism of the Trinidad side; and if the Association is already committed to this visit we shall most certainly give a hearty welcome here, and be assured of seeing some excellent football.
