FIVE of Jamaica's six representatives on the West Indies Football team to tour England later this month, and September and assistant tour manager George Abrahams are scheduled to leave at 11:45 pm tomorrow for Trinidad where they will join the other members of the team.
Karl Largie, Ken East, Walter Chevannes, Sydney Bartlett and Owen Parker are the five players leaving tomorrow. The sixth member Anthony Hill is at present in England and is training with the Fulham Soccer Club.
Jamaica's five selectees have been undergoing hard training for the past few months and are all in superb condition. They have been under the guidance of our new coach Derryck Tomkinson.
Other representatives on the West Indies team are: Pat Gomez (captain), R. Baptiste, Tyrone de la Bastide, Willie Rodrigues, N. Daniel, D. Griffith, E. Aleong, L. Leggard, B. Gray, A. Corneal (Trinidad), B. Braithwaite, M. Hope, G. Green, C. Julian (British Guiana), and B. Haynes from Barbados.
British Caribbean FA Secretary Treasurer, Eric James will accompany the team as manager, with Trinidad's Noel Pouchet going as official coach.
The entire party will journey from Trinidad to England aboard the m/v Willemstead on Monday August 17.
