TRINIDAD, March 13.—A Trinidad XI made a poor showing in a football match played against H. M. S. Colombo on Casuals grounds at the Queens Park Savannah on Monday afternoon, and lost by four goals to one. The local forwards were considerably off-colour and the backs and halves in no form at all and the goal-keeper could have done better if he had only tried. The sailors beat the home team with clever combination by the forwards and accurate placing of the ball by the backs and halves. They scored two goals in the first half and after the scoring of the third in the second half Agar netted Trinidad's one and only goal. The fourth by H. M. S. Colombo came immediately after and the end came without any further scoring.
